Every resident of The Brambles is treated like family. Supervised by our experienced staff, residents make meals in the kitchen, help feed and care for pets, gather for games, crafts, and more.

Residents are also involved in community events. We encourage everyone to lead socially and physically active lifestyles. The Brambles regularly organize activities such as volunteering at the local animal shelter, ice-cream socials, karaoke, trips to the beach, bowling, and many more, depending on the season and interest shown from our residents.

Day Program Access

At The Brambles, we believe in having fun and exploring the creativity of each resident. Our Day Support Center offers the right amount of relaxation and enjoyment to accompany our intellectual disability services.

Located in the heart of Mathews, our Day Support Center has been in operation since 2004, serving The Brambles residents and adults from Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula counties.

The newly-expanded center is a lively, loving place with two activity rooms, laundry, kitchen and shower/bathing facilities. It easily accommodates up to 60 adult attendees with a staff to client ratio of 1:3. The staff is highly trained and caring individuals that continuously provide incredible service.
